OBESITY THE MAJOR PROBLEM IN DAY TO DAY LIFE

Obesity is the major problem worldwide and a major cause of death in various cardiac disorders as well as the organ failure. Obesity not only effects our life physically but mentally too in a way as such a social stigma. Obesity is the excessive accumulation of the bodily fat.BMI greater than the 30 is obese. Barrel drum is the bulge in the middle as it is in the body of the individual who looks a large size but either empty or filled with the disease as our Ayurveda Acharya considered it as the waste accumulation [i.e mala sanchaya] All over the world about 39% of the population is overweight. That mean 1 in 5 children and adolescents is over weight globally. It is like reducing 20 years of lifespan in males and 5 years of life in female . Causes of obesity mainly depend upon the the food habits, the lifestyle of the person i.e is sedentary, psychological factors mainly due to stress, anger and anxiety. Signs- appearance of stretch marks, swelling and varicose veins in lower limbs, skin darkens in some parts of body. Symptoms- excessive sweating, difficulty in sleeping, back and joints pain, intolerance to heat, fatigue, shortness of breath, depression. What does it leads to- type-2 diabetes and even premature diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, stroke, heart attack, kidney stones, gall stones, osteoarthritis, If a pregnant mother suffering from obesity it can leads to various congenital disorders to the child. Prevention and management By maintaining diet and lifestyle we can win this disease smoothly proper maintained balanced diet is appropriate like such Ragi, Bajra, leafy vegetable, barley, fasting rice, moong dal sesame oil etc Drinks like lukewarm water, honey, bitter juices like bitter gourd etc. Lifestyle like doing Yogasanas like Bhujangasana, Paschimutanasana, Sarvangasana etc are the cheapest and the healthiest way to get rid of obesity. What if weight is loosed in obesity the person will have low blood pressure, less risk of heart disease , improved mood, good sleep, higher self-esteem good bodily mobility this all leads to a better development of the personality of the individual.
